We control the population. We do not eliminate every insect on your property, and neither does anyone else. Your yard has ants in it. It had ants in it before you moved in and it will after. What we do is keep that population down and keep it outside, so the house stops being part of their territory. Anybody promising to make every bug on a half-acre lot disappear is selling something that does not exist.
This is the one people ask about most. If ants are already trailing across your kitchen counter, expect it to take a few treatments to get control — not one.
The reason is where the colony actually lives. What you see indoors is a handful of foragers off a colony that is mostly outside, in the soil, under a slab, in a retaining wall, in the mulch bed. A perimeter treatment works on the ants that cross it, and it takes repeat contact over successive visits to knock the colony back rather than just the scouts you happened to see.
What that looks like in practice: fewer after the first visit, occasional after the second, and by the third you have stopped thinking about it. If you are seeing exactly what you saw before after two or three treatments, tell us — that usually means the colony is somewhere we have not found yet, and it needs a look rather than another spray.

A monthly perimeter program is how most of our pest control customers are set up, and it is what actually keeps pests out rather than reacting after they are in. Each visit covers first-floor windows and doors, plus three feet up the wall and three feet out from the foundation all the way round the house. Every other visit adds a granular application through the beds — mulch beds and rock beds around the house. That is where ants, crickets, earwigs and millipedes actually harbour, and granules get down into the bed material in a way a liquid perimeter does not. Timed to seasonal pest pressure: ants in spring, mosquitoes and stinging insects in summer, overwintering pests in fall. $70–$100 a month depending on the size of the house and how much perimeter there is. The program runs March through November. Every other month and quarterly are available too — monthly is simply what most people end up on, because it is the schedule that keeps ahead of the pressure rather than catching up to it.
We treat the surfaces lanternflies congregate on — siding, fascia, around windows, patio furniture — without compromising your tree treatments or harming nearby pollinators. Expect about a month from a perimeter treatment. Spotted lanternflies are leafhoppers — strong movers — so even after a good knockdown your neighbour's lanternflies will come visit. Perimeter work manages the pressure; it doesn't fence your property off. We also do systemic treatments to protect trees from being fed on, which works from inside the tree rather than as a spray. The monthly program runs March through November, but the phone doesn't stop in December. Two kinds of winter call we do take:
Carpenter ants and pavement ants are the most common callouts. Stink bugs emerge from winter hiding. Spotted lanternfly nymphs hatch.
Mosquitoes and ticks at peak pressure. Yellow jackets and paper wasps build nests. Spotted lanternfly adults appear.
Bald-faced hornets reach peak nest size. Yellow jackets become aggressive. Overwintering pests start congregating on south-facing siding — the prime exterior treatment window.
Cluster flies, stink bugs, and ladybugs gather on warm south walls and slip in through small gaps. Late-fall exterior perimeter treatments prevent the bulk of next year's first-warm-day swarms.
