Who We Are

Devon Alleman — Owner & Sole Applicator

Devon has been a Pennsylvania-licensed pesticide applicator continuously since 2005 — over twenty years of working across pest control, lawn care, plant health care, and wildlife removal before founding LPP in 2022. He's also a Pennsylvania-certified Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator, an active beekeeper since 2015 (through The Alleman Apiary), and holds 8 of the PA Department of Agriculture's pesticide applicator categories — enough to legally do nearly everything a residential or commercial property needs.

The reason LPP doesn't operate like a national chain: when you call, Devon answers. When he comes out, he's the one walking your property, identifying what's actually going on, and applying the treatment. No rotating technician roster. No call-center upsell. No contract you have to sign just to find out what a job will cost. The same person sees your property each visit, which means the diagnosis matches the treatment.

We're not a national chain, not a franchise. There's no call center, no scripted sales team, no out-of-state ownership, no contract you have to sign just to get a quote. Most pest and lawn care companies specialize in one thing. We're licensed for all of it:

• Lawn Care — fertilization, weed control, crabgrass pre-emergent, core aeration, overseeding, soil testing. Traditional and fully organic programs.
• Pest Control — perimeter-based pest control (exterior-only — no indoor spraying) for ants, spiders, yellow jackets, hornets, wasps, fly remediation, and seasonal prevention programs.
• Mosquito and Tick Control — yard barrier treatments, In2Care mosquito stations, and seasonal protection.
• Plant Health Care — insect control, disease management, soil-applied systemic treatments, dormant oil, and spotted lanternfly management.
• Nuisance Wildlife Control — Pennsylvania-licensed NWCO services for raccoons, groundhogs, squirrels, skunks, opossums, bats, and snakes.
• Honey Bee Removal — humane live removal in coordination with The Alleman Apiary wherever it can be done safely.
• Pollinator Restoration — pollinator-friendly lawn programs, pesticide audits, native plant guidance, and bee-safe mosquito control. The only Central PA pest control company that also operates a working apiary.
• Agricultural Pest Service — fly control for cattle, poultry mite and louse treatments, sheep and goat parasite control, and varroa mite management.
• Pond and Aquatic Service — licensed aquatic herbicide applications, algae control, and mosquito larvae treatments.

Our Sister Business — The Alleman Apiary

The same owner who runs Lawns Plants & Pests LLC also runs The Alleman Apiary, a working beekeeping operation in Central PA. The apiary side handles raw local honey production, nucleus colony and queen sales for other beekeepers, and live honey bee removal and swarm collection.
