Search for wasp or bee removal around Harrisburg and some of the results near the top aren't pest control companies at all. They're websites that sell your phone call to whoever is paying that week. Here's how to tell the difference before you dial.
A lead-generation site looks like a local company. It has a town name in the title, pictures of wasp nests, and a big "call now" button. But nobody behind it removes anything. When you call, the call gets routed to a network of contractors, and the site gets paid a fee for sending it.

Scroll to the very bottom of the page. Lead-gen sites almost always carry a disclaimer, and the wording is pretty consistent. Watch for lines saying:
If you see that, you're not looking at a pest control company. You're looking at an ad.
Nobody shops around for a yellow jacket nest next to the back door. You call the first number you find. That's exactly the kind of call lead-gen sites are built for. It's also when people end up with someone who isn't licensed, or who turns a one-time nest into a yearly contract pitch.
Taking two minutes to check the fine print and ask for a license number is worth it, even in a hurry.
